Tropical flower or Fireworks?

I haven't posted anything for a long time, because I put the focus on my art activity. I explored the world of coloured pencils and watercolour pencils and now I have discovered the world of soft and oil pastels.
This cork coaster shows one of the abstract pieces I did with my new oil pastels. Some say it looks l.ike a tropical flower; I myself think it looks a bit like the fireworks on New Year's Eve. Well...

Another Valentine's Day Mug!

This design I first scribbled on a piece of paper and then created in Photoshop. I discovered that it is easier for me to think about the way the shapes are arranged using pencil and paper... Hearts and the circle are part of the standard shapes library, the triangles I created. Those small longish trangles are useful for other designs as well.
